| If you're not using a SAGsetter... You're just guessing !!!! Setting up your suspension accurately, quickly and without help are the reasons the SAGsetter is such a great tool. Now you can get exact sag measurements. Fine-tuning will no longer be a guess as to where the last guy held the tape measure and at what number he thought the suspension compressed to, and don’t forget…how well he can subtract. Use the SAGsetter to align your rear wheel! How it works! Pictures and videos -Place your bike on a stand so the rear wheel is off the ground.
- Place the adapter for your brand bike on the lower rod if needed.
-Insert the lower rod end into the rear axle hole.
-Extend the SAGsetter vertical and clamp to the rear fender.
-Make sure SAGsetter is parallel to the rear wheel motion of travel.
-Zero the SAGsetter scale by loosening the thumbscrew on the fender clamp and sliding the scale until zero aligns with the top of the scale tube and tighten the thumbscrew.
-Slide indicator O-ring to zero.
-With full riding gear, remove bike from stand and balance with both feet on the pegs for a few seconds.
-Place bike on stand and read the mark that the O-ring is at. That is your sag.
NOTE: you can bounce on the bike a few times to get the suspension working, but make sure you push the O-ring down until it stops, then balance on the pegs to get your sag reading.
